Evaluation question 6 - What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

These are pictures and explanations of the technology  equipment we have used and how it was used.

These are the cameras we used to capture our task videos

Problems: The video cameras often ran out of battery so we had to make sure they were charged

The camera quality was to a very low standard

Tripods we used to hold the camera, it was useful because it gave us a range of camera angles,  it was also useful because it was small enough to be taken around as a portable object.

Problems: An object that had to be carried everywhere and taken back to its original home

This is Blogger.com, this was used to post everything we have done, from the video to the researched information everything had to be placed on this wall .

Problems: it was complicated to set up but go the hang of it after a while

This is youtube, we used this to get a video link of our continuity task to post on our blog, it was also used for watching examples of film openings and watching openings that influence and are similar to our film opening.

Problems: Youtube was not available at school, it was blocked so we could only use it at home

This is imovie, it played a massive role in my media products, this was the soul software for editing,  adding our video, audio and effects to make our finished film opening it is, it was also hard to use at the beggining but was able to get the hang of it after a while, it was fairly simple to use.

Problems: The software was quite complicated to use and we had to just teach our self how to use it

This is google, a search bar on the internet where i was able to search anything relating to our media task. For example definitions and pictures. It came in useful because when i wanted to find out a meaning of something i could just come on the and search it, this was also helpful because it gave me pictures that i could post on my blog.

Problems: Some researched information can be different and not completely true

This is a software called garage band, it was used to make music for our continuity excersise and out main task - the film opening, it came in useful because it had a good variety and range of loops to use to put together some musical techniques or a song to add to out videos, it made it have more effect on it. At the beggining it was quite complicated to use but as time went on we got used to it and got the hang of it.

Learning how to use the software with no help
